Small Gas Grill
Summertime is here and it is time to pull the camping equipment, grill and swimming gear out of the shed and put them to good use. If you are like many of us you will dig out the equipment to find it is no longer in working condition, or you need a different piece of equipment for a special occasion. Like a

Pros
This
Small Gas Grill is just the ticket for most small family outings. Most portable grills you will find are petite models of their larger counter parts, these will be table top mini’s that are fine in some situations but not all. The Coleman Road Trip on the other hand is a portable grill that expands to full size thanks to the collapsible scissor legs.
This Small
Gas Grill has a decent cooking space of 285 square inches and dual knob control for more cooking flexibility. Speaking of cooking you will never have to struggle with clean up again as the Coleman comes with two cast iron grates that are porcelain coated.
Do you need a little extra workspace? The Road Trip comes with two detachable side tables for convenience. This Small Gas Grill gets
super hot! One reviewer stressed the importance of not using this small grill on high. Considering the lid clearance and the close proximity of the grilling surface to the flame underneath 20,000 BTU’s are just not needed!
Cons
As stated above there is little clearance under the hood so cooking with the lid closed is not as easy as it should be. Most of the problem is the light handle and the locking mechanism. When metal heats up it tends to swell and this can make the locking mechanism stick when you try to reopen the lid. Your
best bet is to cook with the top up.
Overall
This Small Gas Grill from Coleman is a
great portable grill. The few complaints it has received are rare enough to be considered anomalies. If you are looking for a portable grill that cooks great, you have found your product.
